SLSA Administration Conference & Awards of Excellence

22/07/2010

SLSA Administration Conference

The SLSA Administration Conference will take place at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour from 6.30pm on Friday 20th August until 3.00pm on Sunday 22nd August. This conference will be relevant for any member who holds an administrative role at all levels of the organisation (e.g. Secretaries, Treasurers and Administrators).

This conference recognises the important role that administrators play in our organisation, and aims to provide these people with an opportunity to share their experiences with other administrators from around the country. This conference will also provide exposure to a range of initiatives that have been or are being developed to assist administrators in carrying out their duties.

Earlier this season, SLSA conducted an on-line survey of members asking about ways we can improve the organisation, and continue to be a ‘Can Do’ organisation. This conference will deliver a ‘Can do’ program that will focus on the top 10 ideas from the survey. These topics will aim to help administrators ease the time pressures and reduce red tape.

Topics include:
- Power of Surfguard and IT Tools
- Understanding and Managing Leases
- Making the Most of Grants
- Preparing a Quality Annual Report
- Risk Management, Insurance & Special Events
- Managing Finances
- Making the Most of the Web

Nominations close on Thursday, 12 August.

Please refer to your state centre to discuss subsidies and promotions being offered by you state for conference attendees.
