Whereis the 2010 Aussies? Find your way to Kurrawa beach with whereis.com

Let the countdown begin… with only a month to go the 2010 Whereis® Australian Surf Life Saving Championships are fast approaching and for the first time in three years will return to Kurrawa Beach in sunny Queensland. The team at Whereis is thrilled to announce their continued support in 2010 and is proud to be naming rights sponsor of the Aussies for another year of collaboration and support of one of the most iconic organisations in Australia.

As Australian families flock to the coast, it’s important they have access to information on safe swimming and surfing spots. Whether it’s a new beach, or the annual family retreat, Whereis.com has surf, swimming and fishing information to make sure Australians stay safe.

Data collected by SLSA covering more than 8000 of Australia’s swimming, surfing and fishing spots is available on Whereis.com, with beach goers even able to send this information to compatible GPS units or mobile phones by selecting ‘send to GPS’ or ‘send to phone’ on Whereis.com. Maps and directions can be sent to the device making it easier than ever to find and take local beach information on the go

So if you’re planning to head to the Aussies this year but aren’t sure where Kurrawa beach is, all you have to do is visit Whereis.com to locate and find your way there.

How to do this:

Search suburb ‘Broadbeach’ in the address field, then simply click the ‘leisure’ tab at the bottom of the map and select ‘beaches’ to overlay Kurrawa Beach on your map.
