Maxxis Tyres helps drive Surf Life Saving

30/03/2010

On Friday 19 March, Maxxis Tyres presented a cheque for $200,000 to Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA).

SLSA President, Ron Rankin AM, said he was thrilled with the donation from Maxxis Tyres.

“This generous donation from Maxxis Tyres will be invaluable in supporting and training our volunteer surf lifesavers all over Australia. This contribution will ensure our beaches remain protected so Australians can feel safe at the beach,” he said.

“Tragically 47 lives have been lost along our coastline this year. We need to reduce these losses and with the help from Maxxis we are working towards this.”

With distribution in approximately 170 countries, operations in Asia, Europe and North America, and more than 22,000 employees around the world, Maxxis is one of the largest and most respected tyre companies in the world; currently ranked #10 globally.

Maxxis President Mr Wally Chen said, “We at Maxxis, acknowledge our community responsibility and see where the ‘ideals’ of Maxxis and SLSA merge in their twofold dedication to safety and family values. We are pleased to have established this association and are assured of its ongoing success”

Maxxis are proud to be promoting safety on our roads and on our beaches via this charitable support program.
