V8 Supercars Series revs up its support of Surf Life Saving

V8 Supercars Australia is throwing its support behind Surf Life Saving, after we were named the national beneficiary of the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series. The partnership will see vital funds raised for Surf Life Saving through a number of fundraising activities held during the V8 Supercar Series.

More than 250 guests were on hand to honour Surf Life Saving’s best and bravest at the 2010 Surf Life Saving Australia Awards of Excellence, held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday night.

Surf Life Saving Australia today announced that dates for the 2011 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships will be extended. The event will run from Saturday 2 to Sunday 10 April at Kurrawa on the Gold Coast.

Nominations are now open for the SLSA Administration Conference that will take place from 20-22 August at the Sydney Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Tickets are also on sale to the SLSA Awards of Excellence, which will be held on 21 August, also at the Sydney Convention Centre.

A Special General Meeting of SLSA Ltd is to be held at 9:00am on 23 August, 2010 at Surf House, Bondi Beach.

The special business to be transacted at this Special General Meeting will be to consider, and if agreeable, approve by special resolution amendments to the SLSA Constitution.
